
LANCASTER — A suspect barricaded for hours at a residence in northern Los Angeles County was fatally shot when he held a gun to a baby’s head, authorities stated Thursday.
The kid was not injured in a nighttime capturing on Wednesday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Division stated in a press release. There, the division didn’t instantly launch any details about the id of the suspect or his connection to the kid.
The incident started on Tuesday night with a high-speed automobile chase. Round 1 a.m. Wednesday, a suspect fired a number of photographs at California Freeway Patrol pursuers, the division stated.
The chase resulted in a cell residence neighborhood within the excessive desert metropolis of Lancaster.
“The suspect received out of the automobile with the infant, pointed a gun on the child’s head, and slowly walked away from our officers,” CHP Sgt. This was reported to journalists by Alejandro Rubio.
The suspect barricaded himself in the home, and the CHP known as within the sheriff’s activity power.
“The suspect held a gun to the kid’s head whereas the deputy workers tried to contact him, at which period the deputy was shot,” the company stated in a press release.
The suspect died on the spot, the firearm was seized, investigators started investigating the incident.
