SANTA CLARA. A pedestrian was critically injured in a collision with a driver on Monday morning in Santa Clara, police mentioned.
The collision was reported round 8:30 a.m. on the Montague and Agnew Street Expressway, the Santa Clara Police Division mentioned in a press release. The pedestrian, recognized as a 22-year-old man from Santa Clara, was taken to hospital with severe accidents.
Police mentioned an investigation confirmed the pedestrian was strolling via a crosswalk in opposition to a site visitors gentle when he was hit by a driver driving north on the Montague Expressway.
The motive force, recognized as a 31-year-old girl from San Jose, remained on the scene and cooperated with investigators, police mentioned.
The investigation is ongoing, however police mentioned alcohol and medicines weren’t the trigger.
